Our Mission

Based in Montreal, Le Monastère is a non-profit company that supports the growth and development of contemporary circus by offering artists a platform to showcase their original creations.

How do we do it?

We offer affordable high-calibre entertainment; a rare opportunity to experience circus up close and personal, in an exceptional setting. Additionally, Le Monastère creates private shows tailored to the needs of corporate clients.

With its central stage, a bar and the opportunity to enjoy intimate circus arts performances, Le Monastère, Cabaret de cirque is, above all, a space which will evoke all great emotions!

WHY?

The Beginning

A realization

"As professional circus artists, we have traveled the world with the biggest companies such as Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Éloize and many others. But for several years we’ve been drawn to the idea of creating more circus performances in Quebec and promoting this art form to new audiences." Rosalie and Guillaume

Creation of the organisation

In the summer of 2017, we set out to present our first self-produced cabarets by creating our own distribution network: a performance platform in Montreal and one in Beauce. We wanted to offer new ways to enjoy circus arts to an audience eager for cultural discoveries, while creating more jobs opportunities for our local artists.
