Le Monastère is a non-profit organization committed to the discovery of circus arts in Montreal. Created by artists for artists, Le Monastère builds its program around three strategic objectives:
- to create a circus platform in Montreal, offering local and international artists the opportunity to perform their own creations and develop their aesthetic language
- to bring contemporary circus arts to all audiences – individual, community, tourist and corporate alike
- engage in the environmental and social transition of the arts sector
Le Monastère thanks the Conseil des arts de Montréal for its fiscal sponsorship which allows it to carry out its artistic activities.

This program is designed to foster the creativity of both semi-professional and established artists, providing them with a space to refine their skills and engage in continuous learning.
Selected artists will immerse themselves in Le Monastère, working alongside our teams and expert mentors to explore various presentation formats and further develop their artistic approach.

Join us in giving everyone access to the arts
We want to give as many people as possible a taste for the circus arts! Thanks to your support, every summer Le Monastère offers Montrealers free programming in its Jardin, a rare opportunity for discovery and inclusion, where everyone can marvel at artists from different disciplines.
Your donations also enable us to welcome beneficiaries from partner community and social organizations to our open-stage and cabarets, free of charge, to encourage their artistic and cultural curiosity.
