The artists

Aaron Marquise - EmCee

Aaron Marquise studied musical theater and playwriting at Marymount Manhattan College in New York, before graduating in 2015 from the National Circus School in Montreal. He has performed with Les 7 Doigts, Le Monastère, Circus Monti, GOP Varieté, and in various shows in France, Quebec and the United States. He was also head of arts education for the School of the Performing Arts at the Proctors Collaborative in Schenectady and production assistant for the creative team on the North American tour of Disney’s “Frozen The Musical”. Aaron Marquise is currently Associate Director of Programming and Circus Arts Development at La TOHU.

Robyn Haefeli - Cyr Wheel

Robyn Haefeli discovered the circus at the age of eight, without really knowing how. By chance, she became immediately attached to it. She began training at the Circus School in Lausanne, Switzerland, where she had the chance to try out many disciplines before finding the one that suited her best: the Cyr wheel. She then moved to Sweden to study at DOCH, graduating in 2022. Since graduating, she has mainly performed in France in a duo with a musician, and is currently working in Switzerland for several companies.
“A-round” is a reworked version of her DOCH graduation act. It is a glimpse into her relationship with her Cyr wheel and the movements they create together. With this act, Robyn Haefeli aims to convey the sense of lightness and freedom she feels while turning.

Aubin Constanceau - Aerial Straps

Aubin Constanceau discovered the circus in Périgueux, in southwest France. Although this art form is just one of many passions, it’s the one he’s chosen. A choice by default? Perhaps. But the right choice? But the right choice? Most certainly! Graduating from the École nationale de cirque de Montréal in June 2024, his creations now revolve around unanswered questions. Bringing straps into a zany, ridiculous context, Aubin Constanceau, under his stage name Dani de Vine, seeks to raise in the public mind the same questions that run through his thoughts.
Past, present, destiny! Sit back and take a trip to the edge of the world with his work “Un monde de si”. Attend this zany, extravagant show and discover who you are. In this divination session, Dani de Vine will transport you to discover your future. Love, money or work, ask him your questions and he’ll answer them. Spirits are his friends as he hangs from his straps. So don’t wait and find the solution to your worries.

Emilia Dawiec - Aerial Hoop and Hair Suspension

What brought Emilia Dawiec to the stage were her legs and the desire to tell a fairy tale. She began circus at the age of 14, eventually graduating from the Polish Dance Academy in 2021, then from the École Supérieure Des Arts du Cirque de Bruxelles this year in hoop.
The first act that Emilia Dawiec will present to us in capillary suspension, “Babie lato”, is a manifestation of artistic identity. A collection of Slavic cultural references and Polish folklore in a modern approach. Her second hoop act, “Voulez-Vous”, is less dramatic and brimming with glitter – Lady Disco is here!

Maxime Blanckaert - Hand-to-Hand Trio and Roller Skates

Maxime Blanckaert was born in Belgium into a family with little artistic background. However, he discovered his passion for the circus at an early age, and it was thanks to his unicycle skills that he was able to pass the auditions for the National Circus School of Montreal. Once in Montreal, Maxime Blanckaert discovered new passions and began working as a porter. At the age of 19, he began his development and career by specializing in the Russian frame, while adding several strings to his bow: hand-to-hand, banquine and finally roller skate. After several years of shining on stage with the Russian frame, the pandemic made him rethink his career. With his partner Zoé Sanscartier and friend Max Yentin, they form an explosive trio that you’ll love!
In this spectacular hand-to-hand act, “Alive”, three bodies merge into one to perform a single movement. Uniting strength and delicacy to give the illusion of ease. Floating, turning, flying, gliding, walking. An ensemble that gives life to an image, an ephemeral moment that fades as soon as the next one appears. This act draws its essence from complicity and trust. Friendship, listening and mutual support unite these three artists towards a common goal: to share a moment together on stage with you, to pass on their passion.

Zoé Sanscartier - Hand-to-Hand Trio and et Roller Skates

Zoé Sanscartier’s career began at the École nationale de cirque de Montréal, where she became passionately involved in duo trapeze, her chosen discipline and career. After graduating as a duo trapeze aerialist, she spent three years traveling the world, experiencing incredible adventures. When the pandemic interrupted this trajectory, she turned it into an opportunity to reinvent herself. Zoé Sanscartier set herself the challenge of learning new disciplines: hand-to-hand, banquine and roller skate duo. After three years of hard work, she is now reaping the rewards of her efforts and proudly presenting her new acts on stage.

Maxime Yentin - Hand-to-Hand Trio

What brought Max Yentin to the stage? Why does the sun rise every morning and set every evening? Why does the ocean current pull us in a certain direction? These are all examples of natural forces that cannot be resisted or denied. Just like the forces of nature and the laws of physics, his passion for the show cannot be disputed.

Safi Watson - Acro Dance

It all began for Saffi Watson when their parents enrolled them in a circus class at the age of 4. They immediately fell in love with the art, and their parents never stopped supporting and encouraging them to pursue their passion. Today, 19 years later, circus and performing still bring them that same magical spark and joy they felt as a child.

Manuel Martinez Silva - Aerial Silk

Manuel Martinez Silva is an aerial artist born in Linares, Chile. He began dancing and acting as a teenager, before embarking on a career in the circus arts. In 2011, he entered the École nationale de cirque de Montréal, then moved to Brussels to spend three years at ESAC, from which he graduated in aerial fabric. He now works as a performer and teacher in South America and Europe.
In his act “Fluir”, the artist explores the transition from a rigid to a fluid state. This act is an exploration of this transformation, a journey from rigidity to flexibility, then to letting-go. Through perpetual movement and constant rhythm, Manuel Martinez Silva embodies continuous evolution with endurance. Using aerial fabric as a brushstroke, he draws the audience into a hypnotic universe, where dexterity blends with ephemeral graphics.

Olipage (Olivier Pageau) - DJ | November 7-8-9

Olipage is a Montreal-based musical artist who creates an explosive mix of folk, electro and comedy. Imagine a bold, refreshing and totally unexpected cocktail, and you’ve got Olipage. As an engineering student, he spent more time creating sounds than studying the laws of physics. This passion for music eventually led him to thrill crowds at events such as the FAR Festival in 2022 and 2023 and the circus cabaret Le Monastère.
A true jack-of-all-trades, Olipage is a DJ capable of improvising an electro symphony with a fork and a tin can. His improvisational musical expertise has earned him the nickname “Quebec’s Marc Rebillet”. What sets this colorful DJ apart is his no-holds-barred approach to music. He shouts out his wildest thoughts over melodies that turn them into high-energy comedy hits. His performances are nothing short of no-holds-barred surprises.

Michel Michel (Guillaume Biron) - DJ | November 15-16

Guillaume Biron is a multidisciplinary artist in the circus arts, known for his work with Les 7 Doigts in “Psy” and as co-founder of Compagnie Tête d’Enfant. A passionate music fan, Guillaume has been DJing at various events since 2009, including Le Monastère Cabaret, Improcirque, Les Coups de Cœur de la Tohu, the Montreal Complètement Cirque festival and Les 7 Doigts. Currently, he is assistant director and acrobatic coach for the Montreal Complètement Cirque festival, while collaborating with Les 7 Doigts on the revival of “PASSAGERS” and assuming the role of tour director for the same production between 2021 and 2023.
